Sol joined the First 5 family in October of 2006. She was born and raised right here in lovely Merced. Sol worked her way through college and graduated from CSU, Sacramento with a BA in Social Work. While living in Sacramento she worked for the State WIC office and worked as a Social Work/ Counselor Assistant for a high school for pregnant and parenting teens. Her work with the teen parents was her driving factor in returning to college in 2006. She will earn her Masters degree in Educational Counseling with a Pupil Personal Service Credential in March 2009.

Sol enjoys spending time with her family (including her two lovely dogs Cotton and Milo) and giving back to her community in any way possible. She is the Chair of the Comite Pro Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas Scholarship comite. Sol says that God and her mother are her greatest motivation and influences in life... she owes it all to them!
